I am a researcher at the Technical University Of Munich, in the Chair of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Real-time Systems department, working with the Human Brain Project .
I am interested in Reinforcement Learning, Control and Optimization.
I graduated with a master degree from RWTH Aachen University. Prior to that, I was a research asistant at Izmir Institute of Technology and Turkish-German University I completed my Bachelor in Mechatronics at Kocaeli University. In addition, I was an exchange student at Bochum University of Applied Sciences and obtained my second bachelor's diploma.
My master thesis, defended in February 2020, focuses on evolutionary algorithm, using ROS/Gazebo simulation. In my thesis, I used the UUV (Unmanned Underwater Vehicle) ROS package to simulate underwater robots in Gazebo. The objective of my thesis was to create a specific shape for the agents so that they could reach to a predefined target point without having any actuators on it. In other words, their shapes define their trajectory and target point. To determine the most optimal shape for the predefined target point, evolutionary algorithm is used.
